Baptism

We believe that every child is a precious gift from God, and we welcome families who want to bring their children to be baptised

Having your child baptised means that you promise to bring your child to church regularly, to pray for them and to teach them how to live as a follower of Jesus. You do not need to have been baptised yourselves, but your chosen Godparents do.

Some families ask for a Thanksgiving Service after the birth of their baby instead, if they feel they are not yet ready to make the promises in the Baptism Service about Christian faith.

We are also very happy to help adults who are thinking about getting baptised or confirmed.
